SSC MTS and Havaldar Recruitment 2025: Notification Released for 10th Pass Candidates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the new recruitment notification for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar positions. This is a significant opportunity for candidates who have passed the 10th standard. The application process has commenced, offering a chance to secure a government job. This is an all-India level recruitment, open to both male and female candidates from any state or district in India.

Important Dates

The application window is now open. Candidates should take note of the following crucial dates:

  • Application Start Date: June 26
  • Application Last Date: July 24
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: July 25
  • Correction Window: July 29 to July 31
  • Exam Dates: September to October

A two-day correction window will be available from July 29 to July 31 for applicants to rectify any mistakes in their submitted forms.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment is for two types of posts: Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar. While the number of MTS vacancies has not been clarified yet, it is expected to be substantial. The details for the Havaldar post are as follows:

  • Havaldar: 1075+ posts

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria to apply for these posts.

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification required is a 10th pass. All candidates who have completed their 10th standard are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years

The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government rules. SC/ST candidates will receive a 5-year relaxation, while OBC candidates will get a 3-year relaxation.

Application Fee

The application fee structure is as follows:

  • General/OBC (Boys): ₹100
  • SC/ST, PWD, and all Female candidates: Free

Payment for General and OBC male candidates must be made online.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a written examination. For the Havaldar post, there will also be a physical test. The written exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted in two sessions:

  • Session I: This session will include Numerical and Mental Ability, along with Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. There will be 20 questions from each section, with each question carrying 3 marks (60 marks per section). The total time allotted for this session is 45 minutes.
  • Session II: This session will cover General Awareness and English Language. There will be 25 questions from each section, with each question carrying 3 marks (75 marks per section). The time allotted for this session is also 45 minutes.

Candidates should be aware that there will be negative marking.

Physical Test (For Havaldar Post Only)

Candidates applying for the Havaldar post must undergo a physical test. The MTS post does not have a physical test requirement.

  • Males: 1600 meters walking to be completed in 15 minutes.
  • Females: 1-kilometer walking to be completed in 20 minutes.

Required Documents for Application

Before applying, candidates should prepare the following documents to avoid form rejection:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Aadhaar card
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID
  • Educational certificates and marksheets
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
  • Age proof (10th marksheet or birth certificate)

It is crucial to apply carefully, especially during the One-Time Registration (OTR), as mistakes made during this stage may not be correctable later.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a salary as per the 7th Pay Commission at Level 1, which will be a handsome amount along with extra allowances and benefits.
