Selection Process

The selection process for the Agniveer Vayu post is multi-staged and designed to assess the overall suitability of the candidates.

  3. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): To assess physical endurance.

Examination and Physical Standards

The first phase of the online test will include questions from Science subjects. The test will have a negative marking pattern. Following the written tests, candidates must meet specific physical and medical standards.

  • Height: The minimum height requirement is 152 cm for both male and female candidates.
  • Chest (for Males only): The minimum chest measurement should be 77 cm, with an expansion of at least 5 cm.
  • Other Standards: Candidates must also meet standards for hearing, dental health, and general health. Eye-sight requirements are also specified in the official notification.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Details

For Male Candidates:

  • Run: 1.6 km to be completed within 7 minutes.
  • Push-ups: 10 to be completed in 1 minute.
  • Sit-ups: 10 to be completed in 1 minute.
  • Squats: 20 to be completed in 1 minute.

For Female Candidates:

  • Run: 1.6 km to be completed within 8 minutes.
  • Sit-ups: 10 to be completed in 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • Squats: 15 to be completed in 1 minute.
