The upcoming recruitment drive aims to fill over 32,500 vacancies for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). This includes positions for Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). Both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply for these roles.

Selection Process: No Exam, Direct Recruitment

A key feature of this recruitment is that there will be no written examination. The selection process is a direct recruitment based on merit. There will be no interview. Candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in their 10th-grade examination. Those with higher marks will be given priority for the job.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a handsome salary. In addition to the base pay, extra allowances and benefits will also be provided, making the overall remuneration package quite attractive.

The minimum age to apply for the GDS recruitment is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years.

Additionally, age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved category candidates:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years of age relaxation.
  • OBC Candidates: 3 years of age relaxation.

The minimum educational qualification required for this post is a 10th-class pass. Candidates who have completed their 12th grade or are graduates must also apply on the basis of their 10th-class marksheet.

The application fee structure is as follows:

  • General/OBC Candidates: ₹100

Required Documents for Application

Document verification is a strict part of the selection process, and many applications are rejected due to incomplete or incorrect documentation. To ensure your form is not rejected, please prepare the following documents before applying:

  • Disability certificate (for PWD candidates)
  • Income certificate (for EWS candidates)
  • Transgender certificate (if applicable)
  • Age proof (10th-class marksheet or birth certificate)

Important Information for All Applicants

Applications will be invited from all states, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Candidates can apply for positions in other states, but they must have proficiency in the local language of that state.

It is highly recommended that all eligible candidates apply, regardless of their percentage in the 10th class.
