Home Guard Recruitment: Over 44,000 Vacancies

A bumper recruitment for over 44,000 Home Guard positions is being rolled out in July. This is the largest recruitment drive for Home Guard in Uttar Pradesh (UP) in 14 years, as announced by the UP government. The recruitment process is for the year 2025, and both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must meet the specified educational and age requirements.

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification required for the Home Guard भर्ती is a 10th-class pass. Any candidate who has successfully completed their 10th standard is eligible to apply for these positions.

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is set as follows:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years

Candidates whose age falls between 18 and 45 years are eligible to apply. Age relaxation benefits may also be applicable as per the rules.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Home Guard recruitment will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates must clear each stage to proceed to the next.

• Height: A minimum of 168 cm.
• Chest: 78 cm (normal) with a 5 cm expansion to 83 cm.
• Running: 1600 meters to be completed within 6.5 minutes.
• Push-ups: 10 push-ups within 1 minute.
• Long Jump: Not applicable.

For Female Candidates:

• Height: A minimum of 152 cm.
• Chest: Not applicable.
• Running: 800 meters to be completed within 5.5 minutes.
• Push-ups: Not applicable.
• Long Jump: 2.5 meters.

Written Examination Pattern

The written test will be an OMR-based examination. The pattern is as follows:
